Membership of the AIOC
The AOIC warmly welcomes new members at all times and is open to those who meet the following criteria:-
A) Those Celebrants already practising and experienced in conducting Ceremonies |
| This can include; a practising Celebrant (6 months experience+), Registrar or Member of Clergy. You will be asked to provide the contact details of a Professional/Institute (i.e. Funeral Director) whom can confirm you have conducted Ceremonies for them on a regular basis. |
B) Those who have successfully completed the AOIC's Foundation Certificate in Funeral Celebrancy |
| The AOIC prides itself on the high standard of its Celebrancy training and successful completion of the 3 day foundation certificate will lead to membership of the AOIC. We do not offer a pass/fail system on our courses, however if we feel a student is not up to the required standard by the end of the training, we will continue to work with them and monitor them until we feel they meet the required standard to join the Association. |
C) Those who have undertaken another recognised Celebrancy Course and/or have limited experience |
| You may apply if you have just undergone Celebrancy Training and not yet started work. You will be asked to supply proof of your training course. If you have just started work but your experience is less than 6 months, then the contact details of a client whom you have conducted a Ceremony for will be required, along with the script used. |
